Rainbow Baby Hat

This is by far my favorite hat. If only it had been a little bigger... I ended up giving it to my friend Erin who's expecting a baby boy July 15. I plan on making matching booties. I also plan on making a bigger one for Jayden. Everyone needs a rainbow hat! It'll be especially great for night time at the festivals this summer. I'll post pictures of the matching booties soon.
I added finger wrap technique pom-poms (no "pom-pom makers" for me!)

Scarves..

This is Jayden and her scarf. She LOVES this scarf! I didn't actually plan on making a scarf, I was just practicing garter stitch. But she loves to play with it so it was meant to be :) It's also the only scarf I've made that doesn't roll up on the sides.. I have to fix that.

The green scarf is Dustin's. On one end is humping bunnies, and on the other end is humping elephants. The stitch I used mostly was a Ladder stitch, mixed with some divided boxes and some garter stitch. It is 7-8 feet long.

Dustin has recently requested a "Doctor Who" scarf. It will end up being about 18 feet long and 6 inches wide, in a variety of colors and will probably take a couple years to make because I like small projects way better and will probably get bored with it.. It will more than likely end up being made out of old yarn stash.

I posted a picture (This is NOT my scarf! I got it from Ravelry, it was the most impressive doctor who scarf I found... Here is the link to their Ravelry site - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/doctor-who-scarf---please-use-season-specific-entry)

Very first project

This is the first thing I ever knitted. It's a bag. My little brother requested a bag to carry his contact juggling balls in, so I made him this. I just got an update from him today and he said it works great. I also made a "ball cozy" to better contain his balls... I'll get the giggle out now for all the accidental ball jokes.. lol hehehe...
I'm also planning on eventually making him a backpack style bag. I haven't found the design I want to make yet.
Also, I didnt' use a pattern for this one so I can't post it. It's pretty much just a rectangular piece of stockinette stitch folded in half, sewn along the sides, attached a reeally long strap and closed with buttons.

First blog post EVER

Okay, so.. First blog post ever! I never ever thought I'd have a "blog" but what do ya know, here I am. I mostly plan on this being an area (other than the wonderful Ravelry) to post recent knitting projects, talk about my crazy-awesome daughter and the always changing adventures in my life. I don't plan on having many "followers" but this is mostly just for me to blabber on to myself. And maybe my mom.. lol..
Anyhoo, I'll keep this intro short and try and post as many of my projects as I can. Hopefully I'll remember to take pictures of all of them before giving them away!
Enjoy!

ps- Be warned this isn't going to be the most exciting blog ever.. Can't say I didn't warn you.
